We will not participate in the paid pit spot next season. The few times we came down to Skyview we were forbiden to use our spot because of "SPECIAL" shows. That is bullcrap. If those slugs cared about Skyview they would run the track regularly or otherwise support it. NETO is CRAP. Most of the regular guys, The ones you earn you keep from have far better cars then the majority of your special shows. If they want the spots up front. They should RENT them!

You will not be getting a renewal from T-Wrecks unless you are going to DONATE IT TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT!

With the kind of car we have it was important to cut down on the driving of the car. We are undergoing a car change with some pretty srerious engine changes. We will tow it.

EVEN WHEN ESTA WAS WRONG.... THEY MADE IT RIGHT!

I've paid 600 bucks for 3 years to park up on the hill When we did show up.

Truth of the matter is we should all boycott the paid pit spots and lets see how that 1000's of dollars not showing up in your mailbox for free feels!

THAT IS 16,920 dollars the track wont get.

Truth of the matter is, we love our paid pit spots and plan to keep them for years to come.

I assume by your post that:

(1) You selected (note that the track did not select it for you) your Trackside Pit Spot to be in the spaces closest to the staging lanes. If you are in the first few pit spots on either side, the track has clearly stated, every year since they opened, that these spaces will not be available during special shows. We all know that, we all know it up front, and we're all reminded of it every year when the pit spot posting comes out. If you do not want to be displaced from your pit spot during special shows, please select a pit spot that is not located closest to the staging lanes. EVERY track that runs special shows (ex: the ProAm or the Bracket Finals) displaces their "regular" racers from some, if not all, of their paid pit spots!

(2) You only came to Skyview during their special shows -- for three years in a row!

[quote] -- "The few times we came down to Skyview we were forbiden to use our spot because of SPECIAL shows." [end quote]

[quote] "I've paid 600 bucks for 3 years to park up on the hill When we did show up." [end quote]

If you are not supporting the track, you may not want to buy a reserved pit spot. But if you come every (or at least most) weeks, then buying a reserved pit spot makes great sense. It's very inexpensive to pay $200 a year for 24 scheduled races -- That's only $8.33 a week -- especially when George lets you park your rig there all of the time. Newsflash: Many tracks make you clear your rigs out each week!

But if you pay $200 and only race 4 times, and those 4 times are ALL during special shows, then yes, YOU threw your money away. But please don't blame the track for that!

There's nothing for the track to make right here.

Based on what you've stated, it's probably the right decision for you to not renew your paid pit spot for 2010. If you let me know who you are and what pit number you have, I will let a friend of ours know that your pit is available for next year as he is anxious to get a reserved spot and will want to get his money in to Amy as soon as possible. Thank you.

Blah blah blah. Let your friend contribute to the track as I have done. I have a different set of circumstances. Maybe that will work for them!

I just think if I paid for it, it is my space, not to give it to some 7 second nova that couldn't hold its own to any of the cars that compete there. I got that space so it would cut down on the driving of a car that is excess of 1000 hp through the pits. When I went I could just make a nice little loop. No I haven't been to Skyview only for special shows. but thanks for knowing it all.

Giving up my space for the Pro-Am or bracket finals isn't what this is about, Obviously again you seem to know all my motives. Next time I need to make a decision, Call me up and let me know what I think!

Sorry this is a sore subject for you, but you brought it up and you stated your interpretation of the facts. If your statements were incorrect, please don't blame me. This isn't suppose to be a pissing match.

My offer was legitimate. We have a friend who built a car and wants to race at Skyview. He is looking for a pit space. So if you are unhappy, as you've said, and you don't want to come to Skyview any more, as you've said, please let me know what pit space you pay for so that I can let our friend know to ask Amy about that space for next year. I assume it's number 8 since that belongs to someone named Victor, but I hate to assume!

And by the way, I've seen some really nice 7 second Nova's race at Skyview and many other tracks. I'm sure they are very happy with their cars and glad to be able to race. Bashing them really won't help any issue that you might have.

Because a lot of folks read this forum, please forgive me if I make an observation about your "making in excess of 1000 hp through the pits" comment..... Not a smart idea -- regardless of the track. Skyview is a family track with lots of children to consider. You should be going at idle speed through the pits, not trying to make horsepower. The last thing anyone, at any track, needs is to have a horrible accident in the pits.

Your car, if that's it in the picture, looks nice but I've never seen it at Skyview. I'm there every week; have been since 2005. I'm sorry to have missed you on every occassions you've been to race with us. It's not like me not to know who everyone at the track is. If you should choose to come back, be sure to stop & say hello. Good or bad, everyone knows who I am :)

Nicely said Kathy. Vic, sorry you feel this way. Skyview does not do anything different than any other track that holds special shows. It is what it is, no one twisted your arm to buy your pit spot for three years when the circumstances have not changed for the past three years regarding these pit spots. There is nothing wrong with the way Skyview handles the pit spots. I don't recall seeing you there this year at all. I do know Gene has used your spot a few times. It is no seceret that the big shows brings the money into the track which helps the weekly racer in the long run. It helps the track to continue to make upgrades, keeps the gate fees and racing fees reasonable, and keeps the payouts as some of the highest in the area. Maybe you should take the advice you offered Kathy and call the track rather than post here. I mean that is who you need to speak with. Or is this your motive......quote..."Truth of the matter is we should all boycott the paid pit spots " Your not the only one with a high horse powered car that races at skyview. Personally I do not think there is a bad pit spot at skyview, even up top, at least all roads and most pit spots are blacktoped.

Thanks for the quick response. I just sent Amy an email to let her know that you don't want Pit Spot 8 any more. I know our friend will appreciate it if he can get a trackside spot next year.

LMAO

Crankem: Hi ya Roy!! I'm sure that there are some (I hope only a few) that find me annoying, but I try to state my opinions honestly and fairly, without standing for any of the BS that some folks try to bluster through on this website. I'm the same way in person that I am when I write on-line. I call them as I see them and if I see things differently then you do, I'll tell you that I do -- without trying to be obnoxious about it. We have several friends looking for pit spots at Skyview and I am doing my best to locatate available spots. It looks like I have found one so far, #8 vacated by T-Wrecks, and I am working on another. I'm not sure how I also got into the PIT SPOT PROCUREMENT division of Skyview Drags, but if that's what it takes to grow the business of drag racing, I'm happy to do my part! Life at Precision Crankworks is good -- and safe! Feel free to drop in any time. I'll let the MEN IN BLACK know you are free to come and go as you please. They won't bother you

Slippery: Hi ya Vic!! We've missed you this season and are glad to hear that you plan to rent again. Don't be scared of me -- Although I carry a very big stick (at least according to Roy), I rarely have to use it :D We hope you are planning to come to the banquet this year. It would be nice to see you again before the long, cold Winter sets in. But please, no more duct tape capers! I've never laughed so hard in all my life. I don't think I would survive another DTC event. Hell, I don't think that Skyview would survive another caper
