Only the vision etched in my mind. Fire is the one thing that scares me. Joi Ingalls & I were standing at the starting line holding our breath until we saw Steve out of the car. Every time one of the top fuelers or funny cars blows up on TV during the NHRA racers, I always tell Don, "Do not do that!"

To date, Steve Morton has given me the two best shows I've seen at skyview, 1-his Steve Kinser impersonation about 50 feet from the finish line, and 2-being on fire that bad, (the inside of the car looked like a scary place to be), and getting the car over to the side before he got out! I'm glad he wasn't hurt, and I feel bad for the damage to his great camaro.....Mac.

well,i just got back from mortons assessing the damage to his ride.the guages look like modern art.it cooked the pass. fender, and the hood.the motor was due to be freshened anyway.now comes the decision of what to do.fix it back the way it was, front half it,sell it ,who knows.you can bet that whatever steve decides to do.............he will be there in the late rounds, and if he gets real serious,a track championship is definately in his reach.

Whatever Steve decides on, we wish him the best. We look forward to seeing all of the great Super Pro class back in action at Skyview in 2010.
