Thats what id like to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole pit space thing is a joke! If everyone would quit paying for them, everyone would park where they wanted and everyone would know who parks where and it wouldn't cost anything to anyone. If someone was to take your spot, So what! if you don't park in the exact same tire tracks as you did the week before! One spot is just as good as another. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

sbmopar: Up on the upper level isn't reserved. Its nice up there. Just really dusty!

We pay for our pit spaces every year so that we know we are always going to get the spots we want. We don't want to park "anywhere" and no one will "know" we park there from one week to the next since the track has new-comers every week.

However, Skyview still has plenty of unreserved spaces. On the lower lot, these spaces are towards the end of the track, past the scoreboards nearest the return road. On the upper lot, most spaces are unreserved.

Best money spent.I don't have to leave my house until 11 am and show up just before the time trials. On the speacial events they have I have front row seating. Great people all around me that never change. The money helps to keep the track running its all good. :D

:? I understand that paying for a spot is the best way to make sure you get a good spot, but my concern is with the visitors as my self. I raced at skyview the very first season hard, but the last 2 years have only had the cars out 1 time due to lack of funds. I remember a few big races at the track than and remember how tight parking was. for myself, racing one or two times a year out of pocket does not leave me enough money to hold spaces at the 5 tracks we my decide to run at. But if I choose to race at a track, I would like to know I wount have to put our cars in the woods or the corn field to race. I race Beaver Springs more than anyplace due to the home feeling of the track. I can pull in after trials start and still get a decent pit. They have more than enough room to allow evryone to get a nice area. New york International also has more than enough room to pit. I never have to jam 3 cars into two spots at either track like we do when we were racing skyview. the tightness and the amount of reserved concerns me for all visitors or hobby racers.

Tell you what since you have a Mopar and just so happens I also run mopar. You come on down to my pit spot 29 and hang out with us. I have these darn Chevys on both sides. There are a couple of Mopars across from me. The racers at Skyveiw are great and the track personal are getting better every year. With the price of gas I really dought that you will see a ton of racers at any tracks this year. Really that sucks. Soon no one will be able to afford to do anything other than stay home and watch T.V.

thanks for the invite. will be sure to stop in when we get up there. You are right that the fuel is going to keep me from racing alot. Also the fact that I am still waiting for parts for my trans.

My spot has been paid for, I don't want someone to think I'm just tying it up!

Hey now!!!! I try to be nice to you VICTOR. How much longer before you get the car done? Should be a fast ride. One thing nice about your car is the fact you will not be paying 7 plus dollars a gallon for fuel. :D

You only pay for reserved pit spots. So if you are parking your tow truck & trailer in a non-reserved pit space, such as those closest to the return road or those up on the 2nd level, you will not have to pay anything beyond your entrance/race fee.

Superdrag brings up a good point.... Since not everyone who visits the track has the pit spaces memorized, is there any chance the track can place signs on the spots that are reserved?

Or, maybe a handout at the gate with the map of the pit spaces marked out would work? I've heard some folks comment about not knowing what spaces are reserved, and they don't want to "step on any toes" by inadvertantly parking in someone's reserved spot.
